George B. J. Scott is an Independent Financial Advisor, an Investment Advisor Representative. Educated as a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC). Functioning as an Independent Financial Fiduciary serving his clients since 1987.

George is the “Advisor Manager” in the Associated Family Office.

George is a current member of the Association of Financial Educators (AFE; www.afe-usa.org), the Financial Services Institute (FSI; www.financialservices.org) and a member of Insured Retirement Institute ( IRI; www.irionline.org).

George earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1977 from California State University Long Beach, graduating as “Graduate of Distinction.” A long-time resident of the Seal Beach and east Long Beach, CA. areas, he started his wealth creation journey at age 26 utilizing real estate, securities, and life insurance programs with the aid of an advisor.

George has shared his knowledge by volunteering & conducting seminars on financial topics through the Association of Financial Educators (AFE). AFE is a 501(c)(3) nationwide non-profit association of financial professionals who share a common goal – to educate & give back to the community. George has been a past volunteer to the Orange County Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation (via a previous employer). In his college years he served on the Long Beach Hotline and and went on to be a volunteer and board member of the West Orange County Crisis Intervention Hotline helping suicidal & emotionally distressed individuals.
